What Actually Moves the Number

Four levers you control.

Almost every quote we issue comes back to the same handful of variables. Knowing them before you shortlist venues often saves more money than any negotiation we can run on your behalf.

Day of the Week

A Friday or Sunday wedding at the same venue typically saves fifteen to twenty-five per cent across caterers, venues and bands.

Guest Count

Catering, chairs, glassware and florals scale with headcount. Below eighty guests, per-head costs often drop noticeably.

Season of the Year

Summer and autumn blooms cost more. A winter floral brief using hellebores and magnolia can be significantly leaner.

Venue Inclusions

A venue that already includes tables, chairs and glassware can shave thousands off a hire budget alone.

A Real Example

What a full wedding actually adds up to.

An indicative breakdown for a 110-guest wedding at a Yarra Valley vineyard on a Saturday in March, one of the most common briefs we receive.

Venue & Catering

A$42,000

Includes exclusive venue hire, three-course dinner, drinks package and service staff.

Photography

A$9,400

Full day coverage with a second shooter and a printed album delivered post-wedding.

Florals & Styling

A$6,700

Ceremony arch, twelve centrepieces, entry styling and hire furniture.

Band & Officiant

A$7,200

Five-piece band, ceremony quartet and an experienced Melbourne celebrant.

Add planning at A$8,900 and this brief lands close to A$74,200 all-in, excluding attire and honeymoon. A Friday or Sunday date at the same venue typically comes in around A$59,000.

What is Always Included

The parts that do not cost extra.

Whichever package you choose, these are standard across the board. No tier games, no line-item surprise on the invoice.

Unlimited Check-Ins

We do not cap planning calls or emails. Ask us as often as you need to.

Insurance Covered

Public liability to twenty million and professional indemnity to five million are always included.

Wet-Weather Plan

Every wedding includes a fully rehearsed wet-weather version with a switched ceremony location.

Written Agreements

Every supplier we book on your behalf is confirmed in writing, with terms you can read before signing.

Payment Schedule

Three instalments, no surprises.

We keep payment simple so you are not juggling a fistful of invoices at the last minute. Our standard schedule applies to every package unless your written proposal states otherwise.

  • Booking deposit of 25% secures your date and is non-refundable
  • Second instalment of 35% due three months before the wedding
  • Final 40% payable fourteen days before the event
  • Additional supplier costs invoiced with seven-day terms

Full details are in our Terms & Conditions, and refund provisions are covered by our Refund Policy.

On Booking — 25% Deposit

Secures your date, triggers the planning hub and locks in your lead planner for the year ahead.

Nine Months Out — Venue Locked

Most couples finalise the venue at this point, releasing the second instalment schedule in writing.

Three Months Out — 35% Instalment

Covers the run sheet build, supplier confirmations and the bulk of our planning hours.

Fourteen Days Out — Final 40%

Payment clears before bump-in so nobody is chasing invoices on your wedding morning.

Pricing Questions

The money questions, answered.

No. We charge flat planning and floral fees based on the scope of work, not on how much you spend elsewhere. Any supplier commission we receive is disclosed in writing and deducted from your final invoice.

Yes, and couples do it regularly. If you start with Coordination Only and decide you want full planning, we credit the deposit you have already paid and reissue the proposal at the new tier.

All prices shown on this page are inclusive of GST. Your written proposal will list the fee excluding GST, the GST component, and the total payable, so you can see exactly where every dollar sits.

Our planning fee does not change with guest count. Floral quotes are stem-based, so a shift in headcount will adjust the final floral invoice, but we will confirm any difference in writing before ordering anything.

Yes. For weddings more than twelve months out we can split the planning fee into fortnightly or monthly instalments, arranged at no additional cost and confirmed in your written proposal.

Our cancellation schedule is published in full on our Refund Policy page. In short: no further liability beyond the deposit if you cancel over 120 days out, with graduated fees closer to the date to cover committed time and paid supplier deposits.
